Slow Down To Speed Up | Ep.38

More doesn’t equal more, just like rushing won’t get you there faster!  The theme of slowing down, gaining focus and moving with beautiful intention has been a theme that has come up all week long for my clients and myself.

Here is what I want you to know…

Your ability to be focused, your ability to move with very pure intentions…

It is what allows you to create better, consistent and sustainable results.

While rushing, most of the time just breeds more rushing, doubt, worry, second-guessing, needing to do things again, all because you didn't want to take the time to really allow yourself to do them well or to get clear.

And what ends up happening oftentimes through that rushing is that we don't get there at all or it actually ends up taking longer. Because your energy is all over the place. Your focus is all over the place, you're so focused on rushing and doing it fast, that you're forgetting about the quality in which you're doing it, who you're being when you're doing it. Tune in to dive deeper and learn how slowing down will speed you up!

Theresa Lambert:

Woohoo it is Friday, and I am feeling really ready for the weekend, I'm feeling ready to go play, I'm feeling ready to really rejuvenate rest, slow down even more. It's been a beautiful week, it's been a full week, I've shown up I've served inside the way 200 came off the class, which was incredible to give this way. I have been there for my clients who have been walking through a lot of wounded masculine this week around having a strategy around this innate drive that so many ambitious entrepreneurs have, which is rushing, rushing to get results, needing more, wanting more moving fast and making faster and more mean better. When in actuality, faster and more is just faster and more. And slowing down ultimately, is what I have come to known speeds us up again and again and again. And again. Because our ability to be focused our ability to move in with really pure intentions, very allows us to create results, better results, consistent results, sustainable results. And rushing, oftentimes just breeds rushing doubt, worry, second guessing, needing to do things again, having to do things again, because you didn't want to take the time to really allow yourself to do them well, to get really clear so that you can move forward with confidence. Instead, you wanted to rush and you wanted to do quick because you wanted to get there faster. But what ends up happening oftentimes through that rushing, we don't get that all or it actually ends up taking longer. Because your energy is all over the place. Your focus is all over the place. You're so focused on rushing and doing it fast, that you're forgetting about the quality in which you're doing it who you're being when you're doing it. When we do anything in a rush. What happens what happens, you know, unintentionally this week, I feel like I had to keep reminding myself to slow down and to focus to do one thing at a time. I was actually rushing to boil a bunch of eggs. This is so weird, just before one of the trainings and I was like I'm gonna boil these eggs so I have them ready to go for my lunch break. Before I jump on more calls. And I put two eggs on I bought put two eggs on and listen I were good cook and this is going to probably make me sound like I'm the worst cook alive but I put the eggs on the stove and the water. I didn't put a time on I had 20 minutes so plenty of time to boil the eggs, put them down and put them in the fridge. And anyways, I put them on and instead of just doing it when I finished the training, and I forgot about the eggs on the stove. I forgot about the eggs on the stove. I went on my call I went into my zone I was training and then I kept like hearing his face like popping and I literally had to get out from my training and walk over because I remembered that the eggs were still in the pot on the stove and I'm to boil down all the water and then to literally burn the shells of the eggs. And I'm laughing about it. But I was trying to squeeze in more in a certain time with the thought that I would be getting ahead at lunch, and be all proactive. And instead, what ended up happening was that I created a distraction during my life training was no big deal. But still, I ended up burning the eggs, so they weren't ready for lunch anyways. So I ultimately found my self in the same place after the call than I was before in terms of lunch. But I learned the lesson again, to slow down and to focus. And, you know, it's so funny it is this just a bunch of eggs. And the rest of the day I was like, okay, slow down, do one things at at a time, do it with intention. And this is a really small example. But I think it's so easy for all of us to move into this space where we're rushing, rushing over trying to cram more in, because we're all so inundated with this message that more is better, that faster is better. And the thing is that because of that, so many of us are feeling this constant pressure, this constant thing of doing doing more doing it better doing it faster doing doing doing. And the thing is, it really doesn't create, oftentimes, are most of the times the results that you really want that are unsustainable. In my case, I didn't end up getting the boiled eggs at all. I made myself a different lunch, it was fine. But when it comes to business, when it comes to our growth, when it comes to creating something sustainable, it's really not about how fast you do the thing that you do. But how intentionally you do it and the focus you have when you're doing it, to show up with presence, for your trainings to show up with presence when you're working on your business and creating things for your business and for your clients that you desire to have a sudden impact on other people's businesses, lives health. Whatever it is that you do finances. So the intention that we put in the focus that we put in, the speed in which we move ultimately doesn't matter. Because when you go slow, but when you go with that much intention and presence, when you allow yourself to move at a sustainable pace, when you allow yourself to stop putting emphasis on faster equaling better on more equaling better. And just understanding that more is just more and faster, it's just faster. And start to realize that your power really comes from slowing down and being present. And holding steady. And creating this peace and stability and certainty in which you move with not allowing external things to rush you through the moment, but to actually be in it and create from there and focus there. Your ability to create results that you want actually goes up. And the strangest thing about all that is that by doing that by slowing down by focusing in that way, things actually happen faster. Results. Come in faster if you can stay committed to it, if you can stay committed to it. And after guiding and beautiful entrepreneurs for the way 200k This week and leading my clients inside the strategic mastermind for this this week and having his own experience. This week again, I was yet again reminded of the power of that. And also of the power of allowing yourself to do one thing at a time and to do that one thing very well. And to trust that by putting one foot in front of the other, you're actually gonna get there, you're gonna get there and when you get there, when you do it with as much intention when you put in that much focus when you have a way of showing up that is present and in alignment with how you want to feel and then full embodiment of all your beautiful teachings. When you get there when the result actually shows up. It feels good. It feels the way you wanted it to feel. Instead of just feeling rushed, feeling stressed, feeling worried, which actually slows you down.

Theresa Lambert:

So this is a riff that I wanted to have. This is a conversation that I wanted to table with you this week. because it's February, it's February. And I know for so many, maybe January wasn't as big as you want it to be, maybe you are not as far ahead and your business as you want it to be this year. And here's the thing, my first six figure year in business, January, I made just around $2,000. I didn't have a huge January, I didn't have a huge February, things started to come together at the end of the year, because I continue to show up consistently, because I continue to work on not rushing because I continue to show up with pure intention from a place of giving and service and commitment. Because I kept showing up no matter what knowing that the strategy I put in place that the plan I put in place that the processes I put in place will hold me and guide me. But my job is to keep showing up for that to keep showing up on my mission, my purpose, my clients, my life, myself, and to put one foot in front of the other no matter what. And ultimately, it led me to have my six figure six figure year in business. So regardless of where you are right now on February 16, when this is, regardless where you are today, know that we still have 11 months note that there is plenty of time for you to still accomplish everything that you want. You don't need to rush, moving at a sustainable pace, moving with elegant focus, being super intentional with the action that you take, putting the emphasis and the focus to be present and doing one thing at a time and doing it very well. And showing up in a way that you can show up with the same energy and enthusiasm and excitement today. And you're going to sustain that all the way until the end of the year. This is what ultimately is going to be able to get you there to have the heat consistently applied. Instead of cranking the heat and forgetting that your eggs on the freaking stove and then managing to boil and to burn eggs. I mean, come on. That actually has never happened to me. But here we are. Sometimes we need reminders in real life to really remember reminders that slowing down is powerful. So I hope that this today inspires you to slow down to remember that there is plenty of time to remember that the quality of what you're doing, the intention behind why you're doing what you're doing and who you are being in that moment is so much more powerful than rushing out doing it fast. So if you really want to speed up, if you want to accelerate your growth, my invitation for you today and for the rest of the year is to really tune in, to slow down to stop moving at a sustainable pace. And to really focus on taking one step at a time. And you show up and to stay committed for it. And to stop rushing. And it just stopped noticing how this shifts, how this changes. How does allows you to actually call in those results that you want faster, not because you're moving fast or you're rushing or you're doing more. But because you're showing up with such focus and presence and intention. People can feel it. The person in the room that people are most drawn to other people that are peaceful, relaxed and focused. I've been thinking a lot about Big Cat energy. And I feel like I gotta record an entire episode on that. But think about a big cat for a second. I have this like Jaguar ring reminds me. Big Cats don't rush. They sit, they relax, patched up high and they pay attention. They're focused and they're present. But when they move, they move with beautiful intention. When they move, they generally get what they want. When they use that energy. They use it well. Cats don't rush. Big Cats don't rush. But the results that they create a tremendous the presence they have the Met how mesmerizing they are when we see them the confidence in which they move even if they just stroll. It draws us in that energy. There's something about that maybe it's like to lose and my space living here. But that energy I am really drawn to. But it comes back to that and my cats cat says have always been an inspiration for me to slow down. So slow down to speed up. Move with intent She can move with focus. Know that there's plenty of time to get to where you want to go and see what happens. I love you so much. I hope you enjoyed this episode of diaries of a six figure coach podcast. And I cannot wait to be back here next week with an incredible, incredible guest to dive into some things around social media. Take care, and I will chat with you soon.
